As of January 1 holders of Riga resident’s cards will be able to use workday one-hour tickets also in minibuses
“Rīgas satiksme” notes that one-hour tickets for working days are not valid for making transfers from one minibus to another or from minibuses to trams, trolleybuses and buses. This means that it will not be possible to transfer, for example, from one minibus to another, or from a minibus to a trolleybus, or from a trolleybus to a minibus. In case of such transfers, the next one-hour ticket for working days will be activated. The use of one-hour tickets in trams, trolleybuses and buses of “Rīgas satiksme” remains unchanged.
The new order of using tickets will be much more convenient for passengers as they will not have to load different types of tickets for minibuses, trams, trolleybuses and buses into their Riga resident’s cards. Thus as of January 1, 2017 tickets for a certain number of trips will not be loadable into Riga resident’s cards. Tickets for a certain number of trips bought until January 1 will be valid for 12 months from the moment of purchase. A client who wants to replace his/her tickets for a certain number of trips for one-hour tickets will be able to exchange them free of charge in any of “Rīgas satiksme” customer service centres.
